Gift Giving Protocol

Gifts are often given to express gratitude, friendship or hospitality. This is a common courtesy observed across cultures. Gifts are an important part of building and cultivating strong relationships.. For thousands of years, people believe that courtesy demands reciprocity. That is, well mannered people return favors and kindness. Whenever someone receives a present, treat or invitation from a friend, they will return one back on a suitable occasion. This customary reciprocity is considered necessary to build friendship between people. It is especially important to be proper and sensitive when choosing to give a gift on a special occassion.. Presenting someone with an inappropriate gift could have devastating consequences. Bells and Beaus will teach our youth the simplified yet comprehensive guide to the etiquette in gift giving.
