Leadership Skills

Program Overview

The Leadership Training program is designed to train and mentor youth in service and leadership skills. The teens of today are our leaders of tomorrow and this program has been developed to further the training of our young people.

The goal of this program is to have our youth experience acceptance, achievement, and responsibility in developing self-efficacy, self-respect, and identity.

The program provides these teens a first-hand opportunity to gain problem-solving skills and strategies, develop awareness of issues in the region and learn how they can make a positive difference.

The objectives of the program are as follows:

  1. To train teens in the areas of communication, leadership, conflict management, decision making, time management, and leadership styles
  2. To teach teens they have the ability to achieve and are responsible for their own lives
  3. To empower teens by teaching them how to develop their positive attributes, enabling them to be self-confident and independent thinkers
  4. To allow teens to actively participate in the community and pass their skills and values on to other teens through volunteerism
